I was at Pride in Reigate on Saturday and managed to not get sunstroke. It was a long day with an early start, but working the stalls in our tent and generally helping resolve issues was incredibly rewarding.

It was a great family day, and a generally relaxed atmosphere. The Parade was calmer and less belligerent than last year. I’m.not sure if that was due to the heat or to focusing on not getting run over as the roads weren’t entirely closed. Everyone made it through safely though – even where we had to stop to let the traffic cross the parade route.

As fun as it was, getting back into my air conditioned car to drive some colleagues home was a contender for moment of the day. I was very tired.
I’ve been asked to help lead the planning of our work involvement with next year’s event – something about being a calm voice being incredibly helpful.
